Promoting affiliate marketing with free resources is a great way to get your information in front of hungry buyers. Although the concept of affiliate marketing may sound pretty easy, there is a little more involved than just finding a product, driving traffic to that site, make a sale and earn a commission.

All affiliate programs are not created equal. What I mean by this is that some affiliate programs offer their affiliates more support, the tools for creating better campaigns, premade advertising methods, etc. If a particular program has an award winning website that converts more traffic, why wouldn’t they want to provide their affiliates with the tools to drive even more traffic to the sales page! It’s a win win situation.

As with any type of program you decide to get involved in, do your research. If you find a product that you want to promote, but their website isn’t very enticing, go with your gut feeling about whether you feel this is a good product for you to promote. Find out about their affiliate program and what they have to offer. Do they have the tools to help you create better campaigns! I am a big believer in going with your gut. It is usually never wrong.

If you are just starting out promoting affiliate products, it’s not necessary to invest money into your own website, hosting, domains, autoresponders, etc. for creating your business. You will want to consider all of these things once you have reached some success with affiliate marketing. Since the money “is in the list”, you will want to eventually build your own list so that you can continue to promote other products.

There are literally tons of free resources you can use to promote your affiliate marketing campaigns. Sites such as Squidoo, Blog Posting (Blogger and WordPress), Hub Pages, Article Marketing (EZine Articles, Go Articles, Article Dashboard, Article Base), Press Releases, Weebly, Wetpaint and many more.

You also have social networking sites as well as social book marketing sites that can link back to your articles, lens or free websites. There are so many different free resources available online.

Affiliate marketing is truly a wonderful way to start making money online. By using free resources to promote your campaigns and learning the techniques and methods to succeed, you can start building your own successful business today.
